Embracing Mindful Love with EFT: A Step-By-Step Guide to Unfolding the Love You Deserve

The Power of Mindful Love

We all carry love stories—stories of joy, heartbreak, longing and sometimes even fear. For many of us, these stories become barriers that keep us from experiencing the deep, mindful love we truly deserve. Whether it is love for ourselves or others, we may find it hard to let go of past wounds and fully open our hearts.

What is EFT + How Can It Help with Love?

EFT, also known as Tapping, is a gentle, simple yet powerful technique that involves Tapping on specific acupressure points while focusing on an emotional issue. It is like clearing the energetic blockages in your system, allowing love to flow more freely. Think of yourself as a beautiful Rose. When we experience emotional pain, it is as if certain petals of that Rose close up to protect us. EFT helps gently unfold those petals, one by one, so we can experience the fullness of love again.

Are you ready to begin Tapping into the love you deserve? Let us start with an easy sequence to address any resistance to love, whether it is fear, insecurity, or emotional baggage from the past.

Step-by-Step EFT Sequence for Embracing Mindful Love

Before we start, take a moment to reflect. How do you feel about love right now? What fears, doubts, or past experiences come up for you? On a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 means you feel completely closed off to embracing mindful love and 10 means you feel fully open and ready to invite it into your life, how would you rate yourself right now?

Step 1: Acknowledge Your Resistance to Love

Setup Statements: Repeat the three Setup statements while tapping on the Side of the Hand point (SOH) which can be found in my free EFT Starter Guide gift:

  1. “Even though I feel resistance to fully opening my heart to love, I choose to honour myself and all of my feelings.”

  2. “Even though I have been hurt before and part of me is afraid to love again, I choose to trust myself.”

  3. “Even though I have old wounds around love, I choose to release them and allow mindful love into my life.”

Tapping Points:

  1. Top of Head (TOH): "This fear of getting hurt again."

  2. Eyebrow (EB): "The walls I have built around my heart to protect myself."

  3. Side of Eye (SE): "All the past pain I have carried about love."

  4. Under Eye (UE): "I am afraid to be vulnerable."

  5. Under Nose (UN): "But part of me longs for deeper love."

  6. Chin (CH): "I am ready to release these fears and open up."

  7. Collarbone (CB): "Letting go of the stories that keep me from love."

  8. Under Arm (UA): "I am worthy of mindful, nurturing love."

Step 1 Continued: Releasing Resistance

Let us continue working on the resistance you feel around love. This extra round will help you go deeper and allow more of your heart’s petals to open, revealing the love that has been waiting inside.

Setup Statements: Repeat the three Setup statements while Tapping on the Side of the Hand point (SOH).

  1. “Even though I am afraid to fully trust love, I choose to accept where I am right now.”

  2. “Even though it feels safer to stay guarded, I am ready to release the need for protection and invite love in."

  3. “Even though part of me believes love will bring pain, I deeply accept myself and allow the possibility of new love.”

Tapping Points:

  1. Top of Head (TOH): "This belief that love will hurt me again."

  2. Eyebrow (EB): "The fear that if I open up, I will be hurt."

  3. Side of Eye (SE): "I have been protecting myself for so long."

  4. Under Eye (UE): "But it is time to let that go."

  5. Under Nose (UN): "I am ready to release the fear of being vulnerable."

  6. Chin (CH): "It is safe to love again."

  7. Collarbone (CB): "Letting go of the fear, step by step."

  8. Under Arm (UA): "I open my heart, allowing love to flow freely."

Step 2: Releasing Fear and Doubt

As you continue Tapping, on a scale of 1 to 10, how do you now feel about embracing mindful love? Has your openness decreased, stayed the same, or increased?

Setup Statements: Repeat the three Setup statements while Tapping on the Side of the Hand point (SOH).

  1. “Even though I have held onto fear for so long, I am open to letting it go.”

  2. “Even though part of me feels love is complicated, I choose to embrace it with clarity and mindfulness."

  3. “Even though I have doubts about love, I am ready to release them and trust in the process.”

Tapping Points:

  1. Top of Head (TOH): "Releasing the fear of getting hurt again."

  2. Eyebrow (EB): "Letting go of the old stories that no longer serve me."

  3. Side of Eye (SE): "It is safe to open my heart now."

  4. Under Eye (UE): "I am worthy of receiving and giving love."

  5. Under Nose (UN): "I trust myself to navigate love with mindfulness."

  6. Chin (CH): "Releasing the pain and fear, allowing love to flow in."

  7. Collarbone (CB): "I am ready to embrace mindful, authentic love."

  8. Under Arm (UA): "I am safe and love is safe."

Step 3: Tapping into Mindful Love

Now that we have released some of the resistance, it is time to invite love in—love that is patient, kind and deeply present. Feel the warmth of love blooming within you as we Tap through this final sequence.

Setup Statements: Repeat the three Setup statements while Tapping on the Side of the Hand point (SOH).

  1. “Even though I am still learning, I am worthy of love, just as I am.”

  2. “Even though I don’t have all the answers, I trust myself to experience love with grace and mindfulness."

  3. “Even though I have been hurt in the past, I am open to love again.”

Tapping Points:

  1. Top of Head (TOH): "I welcome love into my heart."

  2. Eyebrow (EB): "I choose to love myself with kindness and compassion."

  3. Side of Eye (SE): "I am worthy of deep, fulfilling connections."

  4. Under Eye (UE): "Love flows easily and freely through me."

  5. Under Nose (UN): "I choose to give and receive love without fear."

  6. Chin (CH): "I am open to love in all its forms."

  7. Collarbone (CB): "I embrace mindful, nurturing love for myself and others."

  8. Under Arm (UA): "I am ready to let love bloom fully in my life."

As a final check-in, on a scale of 1 to 10, where do you currently stand in terms of embracing mindful love?
