What is EFT?
EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, blends contemporary psychology with the physical stimulation of acupressure points, creating a self-help therapeutic approach. It is an evidence-based stress reduction technique. Extensive research, with over 100 studies, demonstrates the effectiveness of Clinical EFT (i.e., a manualised version of EFT) in addressing various conditions such as anxiety, depression, pain, PTSD and phobias.
Commonly referred to as "Tapping" Clinical EFT works by balancing the body's energy system through Tapping on meridian points, helping to release emotional blockages, reduce stress and promote emotional wellness. It involves using your fingertips to tap on specific acupressure points on the body. When experiencing stress, this technique is employed to swiftly reduce stress hormones, including cortisol and deactivate the body's fight-flight-freeze-fawn response.
